This baseball was used in the bottom of the fourth inning of the April 8, 2022 game between the Tampa Tarpons and the Lakeland Flying Tigers (Ball in the dirt to Chris Meyers of Lakeland). This game made history as Tampa manager Rachel Balkovec became the first woman to manage an affiliated professional game.
Net proceeds of the auction will support the establishment of a new Boys & Girls Club in Uvalde, TX. This club will be a much needed resource for Uvalde youth, and their families, as they continue to heal from the aftermath of the Robb Elementary shooting. This newly established club for the community aligns with MLB's commitment to provide physical and mental enrichment programs for young people through Boys & Girls Clubs of America.
